No offense but is the whole thing out of focus or did you add some softening blur filter to the footage?

Resolve can do a pretty decent result. This test was using XAVC-L (Long GOP) 50Mbps HD 50p from a Sony X70 using Resolve's Superscale to UHD 3840 x 2160.
