Chasin' tail

I thought him talking on the phone to the cop was hilarious. Nice beard too. I liked the story. The acting could have been better and the audio in some spots where there would be an abrupt sound change with the change from one shot to the other. The truck always behind right under his nose and him not knowing it was funny as well. I think if you put some of his running back and forth in fast motion it might sell it a little better. Again, nice story.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I appreciate the input; that, along with seeing some amazing-looking LossFest entries, really helps identify the things I need to improve on!

Russell

That was actually quite funny! The lead seemed liked a very good sport considering he had to run all over town and be hit by a car. His performance, though a little hesitant, was still very comical and pretty well timed.

The breaking of the fourth wall when the cat appears was a nice touch.

You certainly kept the energy flowing throughout the piece and I thought the story certainly had merits. There were occasional bits in which the sound cut immediately instead of carrying over, but overall, the sound and image seemed fine.

Fun film!

Thanks for your comments, Lawsuit_Boy! I think I've learned a little from this film about sound and lighting, so I hope the next one is better. :)

Cute. I have a strange compulsive habbit of having my leads running through a large portion of my shorts as well, so I feel you man.

First, I love your poster. Second, great title.

I enjoyed this film. The wall of weapons in the police department was hysterical.

Best of luck in the fest.

Fun story. I like that it has such high stakes. And that you put obstacle after obstacle in his way. That's good storytelling.

The technical aspects and the acting were a little iffy, sometimes strong, sometimes weak. But overall this was an enjoyable film. Thanks!

the comedy of this film was pretty good, it was enjoyable to sit through but i felt like i was running in circles with him. :)

I thought the writing was really great in this short. I guessed the ending about halfway through, but that didn't stop me from enjoying watching it play out. Definitely funny, and the stunts were very well done for a production at this level - I was seriously impressed.

The rest of the direction seemed to lack inspiration - I thought the majority of the shot selection was unmotivated. I'm sure you will get a lot better at this though. Having a great script is the number one thing (in my humble opinion), and you had that. Can't wait to see what you do for the next fest.

Very fun watch. Kinda knew the ending was coming - where the cat was 'tossed' into view.

Like the 'all that for nothing' story. Like the 'emotionally clueless' girl game as well.

Nice exchange of stink eye with the guys.

Enjoyable film.

I sincerely appreciate all the comments, guys!

I am so full-on amped about doing something else right away, just to tackle some of the tech issues while they are fresh on my mind...... :)

Nice flick. Too many funky angle shots though. The lead did a good job and has a natural feel for comedy. Good job.

Hey, this was pretty fun. It kept my interest throughout the entire run-time. Like others have mentioned, some of the camera angles did not work too well. Overall though, it was a fun film. Good job!
