Brand New Kitty - SPG Productions

I loved the "hot dog" scene at the beginning. Brilliant comedy.

The ending really fell flat for me, but I was laughing really hard the whole way through.

Funny funny fun stuff. At first I thought, "this isn't going to be good'. Then, the easy and hilarious delivery of the microwave instructions came along and it was a bunch of enjoyable cheek-hurting belly laughs till the end.

I like a good seance too. Great characters. The comedy excelled especially in the script and editing.

The lighting was flat, but I'd much rather have a good story and a bunch of laughs than something that looks pretty.

Way to go. Best comedy IMO :Drogar-Smoke(DBG)::thumbup:

You guys are cracked. Seriously totally cracked.

Technical aspect: some of your scenes were a little flat. Inside with the kitchen against the flat wall, there was no sense of space and that was due to the camera placement. Mess around with it a little to find the right angle(s) to tell the story from and it will improve the setup tremendously. Once you got outside though... beautiful shot of the guys singing "What's New Pussycat"

That scene cracked me up. It was composited nicely, great balance and gave a good contrast to that was happening. It was a solemn moment that was reflected in the framing, everything in the scene, and THAT was what made it funnier. The utter absurdity of what was going on and your two guys just having fun with it. Take notes from what you've done with that scene and you'll have comic genius every single time.

Seance fell a little flat as did the ending, but good lighting there, very purposeful. it just felt like you guys didn;t quite know how to end it and kind of shoehorned something in there. There was no solid resolution so we were left a little let down after the moments of mirth.

Great striptease by our gravedigging friend.

Ramp it up some more and keep bringing the funny guys! Well done.

You guys tickled me in places I didn't know existed. HAHAHAHA. Why can't I know people like you. If my bro's short doesn't win I'm crossing my fingers for you guys. Above how brilliant you guys are comedically, your one of the only entries so far that I really think followed the actual guidlines. Wonderful, wonderful entry.

That was great! Too funny. Great characters...and I had a cat named "Punky" once too.
Love the film...great work guys.

Haha hey guys, while your production value certainly isn't through the roof, I gotta say I laughed my ass off at the kitty funeral... and I'm only now realizing how horrible that is to say.... Great job!

I have been waiting over 24 hours to leave you some feedback about this movie. It was incredible. i laughed through the entire thing, i even woke my boyfriend up just to watch it. quick, sarcastic comedy is a must have in my book and you grabbed it by the horns, my only disappointment with the film was the awkward chanting in the end, i realized it was supposed to be funny but i found it a bit distracting. great job though! good luck!

that was hallarious. Those were really incredible actors. "do you have any throat losanges" "no i ate them all" that was just awesome. Wish the scream at the end wasn't clipping. Other than that technically not bad either. Kitchen scene lighting was a bit homely. But I didn't even care it was hallarious.

i got a little lost after the what's new pussycat song but thought this was really funny, man. good stuff, i like the absurdity of it all. really, you coulda had a top notch film with just the microwave scene and the burial cause that seemed like the right amount of funny.
hope to see more from you, tho.

The first scene wasn't the best, especially after seeing what you did with the sound and cinematography outside on the second scene.

After that in the room/seance, that was even really good to interms of sound and image.

Acting was good, and I had a laugh building up, so good job on that.

The few technical issues that you guys had aside, the film was entertaining. I laughed. The characters were very natural and their timing was good. Any of the flaws that I noticed have already been mentioned. I enjoyed the film because it did what it was meant to do. Good job!

HaHAAAA! refreshing to see some more comedy up in this LossFest.
the discussion about what to push on the microwave & "let me turn you on to somethin' i wrote" were DEFinitely my favorite parts.

Good stuff guys.

This short was great! Me and my kids are still laughing at it. I think we know all the lines. How many times did you push hotdog.... too many.

Great Job!

Lots of funny moments in this film, but ultimately it didn't work for me, because I didn't realize until the very end how their cat had died... maybe that was the idea... but for me it didn't work. On the flip-side, the cast was good, and the cinematography worked for the piece. Congrats!

Favorite thing about the film: It was pretty funny.

What would have made me like the film more: I agree with what Brandon said right above me... but I just went back to the microwave scene and there is a face of "whoops that was the cat" that I missed the first time through.

Favorite shot: 1:48 during the "what's new pussycat?" scene. Looks good and is funny too.
