Basketball footage

For those asking for examples of the HPX300 being used in sports situations, Jan has forwarded me a clip of the HPX300 in 720p shooting a college basketball game. I've transcoded the clip into 1280x720 MPEG-2 so that it will take up less bandwidth and hopefully play back in realtime on most people's computers.

This clip is not representative of the original AVC-I quality, of course, but this is offered for those wondering about how skew and CMOS would play into evaluating the HPX300 for sporting events.

Clip

EDIT: added a second clip with some snippets of 1080i footage. This has also been transcoded to HDV for smaller file size for uploading.

It does look good, but I would like some footage at floor level as well to replicate how we shoot.

But, that's not dismissing the efforts to provide it.

Thanks to Barry and whomever (Jan) supplied the footage.

This is a nice customer experience.

Looks nice. I remember seeing that UCLA basketball game that Jared or someone shot really early on in the HVX saga and that footage I watched a million times and was enough of a reason for me to buy the original HVX. I too would love to see some floor level slow motion stuff.

Cheers and that's so right. Jan and Panasonic really do engage with their customers.

Seems quite alright.
I haven't noticed any skew neither horizontal nor vertical on this footage.

Justyn:

That UCLA cheerleader footage with the blue uniforms sold us as well on the 200.

I think I still have it.
