Just put up a video of a test with a panasonic adapter LA 7200

you can check out a video clip here

http://pixelatedanamorphic.com/

it is easy to work with it in fcp as all you need to do in the sequence settings is to click on the widescreen aspect ratio button and it brings it out to the right look when editing. You just have to calculate a little when exporting to whatever format you want. These are done for the web so it becomes 720x300 on this one.

72 mm diameter, it simply screws on,

longest telephoto has given me distortion, but normal to wide is fine

don't use any guides,

the image in the viewfinder is squeezed and cover the whole 16x9 area,

it doesn't look right until I have clicked on the sequence settings widescreen aspect ratio button in fcp or exported it to the correct pixel dimensions.

This is very very cool. I'd love to get my hands on one of these and play around with it.

$750 is a bit steep though.

I just adore the anamorphic look. I prefer the 2x squeeze look. But this 1.33x squeeze still has some of those 2x anamorphic qualities.

Interesting. Nice stills too. I love the last one of the dude with the white beard. I have to ask the question, can you get anamorphic lens flares with this? You know, the long blue horizontal streaks that are seen in big budget films.

Thanks agwah, that would be splendid.

I've been wanting to get some good anamorphic flares and have so far tried Magic Bullet Looks, which is good but not the same as a real one through a real anamorphic lens. Sometimes it just doesn't look as authentic when done in post.
