the softer side of las vegas

Las Vegas is known as the City of Sin, but during my last trip to Vegas, I thought I would take a less sinful approach.

I got kicked out by security shooting outside towards Caesar's Palace's hotel, which didn't make sense to me because I got permission to film everywhere in the Bellagio except for the casino area.

Nice work !
Did you use and adapter in the beginning shots Man & woman at the fountain , girl trying to take a pic ?

Well done. what settings did you use? The colors were really sharp. The night scene was really good as well

I take it was shot mostly at 60 and then slo moed in post?

Was it FCP or what?

You are correct sir. Shot in 60p. Cinema Tools was used to conform to a 24p timeline. To my surprise, it was pretty fast. I think for super slow motion I'll be using After Effects, but for a quick and easy slow motion, Cinema Tools works great.

I used an adaptor for most of the shots. The super wide shots what the HMC 150 naked. I use the Brevis without the rails, so I just screwed it on and off with ease. I still have to work on focusing.

I still have a lot to work on with regards to color. The trouble I ran into was the changing light conditions of the clouds. It makes it very hard to correct in post. I have a preset that I made, but I'm still working on refining it. Under fluorescent lighting, it works great for me, but under natural light and cloudy days, I'll have to come up with a better solution.

After watching my own footage a couple of times, it hurts, because I see so many things wrong with it that I could improve on. Most of the improvement needs to be during the actual shooting though. :crybaby:

But I'm trying to come up with presets so I can minimize the post work because the HMC150 is limited to the 4:2:0 color space (at least with run and gun). It definately forces you to be a better shooting.
