"FALLING UP" a Flyin' Monkey Films production

Doing ADR today. Just missing an XLR cable, so I gotta run out to the store and get one. Since we don;t have a recording studio, we'll eb using an improvised set up that's worked rather well in the past.

Just got a call from Jessica and she's on the way, so I gotta run.

I left my SD card at Mark's house, which has the podcast of yesterday's shenanigans. We're going to have shenanigans part 2 today, so looks like it will be an extended podcast coming up tonight.
 
Off once again to do ADR and some foley.

Oh yeah, as of 5 minutes ago, we have final picture lock. Have to export the video file and get it ready for color grading.

Audio is already exported and good to go for rerecording and mixing. Hopefully I can get this off to FDL this evening so he can work on the score.
 
Okay. that's it. i'm officially using the HVX for any future podcasts. My camera just pretty much **** itself and with the file errors currently being generated, I don't think it's up for the job. ugh. there goes convenience.... but I wonder if anything is on sale... like one of those little flip cameras that Zak has... bears investigation.
 
Honestly, where do you get the time?

I like the ADR set-up. I've done similar things in the past. Getting excited to see this one, what with all the hype. You are out-Forsman-ing Forsman...

i've been making a conscious effort, even if its only a couple of seconds here and there.. otherwise i just say ; 'hey you, sit there...' and before they know it.. as for editing... well files have to render right? :grin:

Now I wish Zak would show us the game changer. He's laxing on his Forsman duties.

tomorrow I'll upload Mark's interview for some more insight.. AND I'll include some new screenshots of never before seen footage, just for you guys. Everyone else will just have to watch the movie... right Mike?

thanks dude. Bubba Sean was kind of overdeveloped as a concept and character just for the sole purpose of marketing. sean and the rest of the ensemble cast kind of just ran with it and we got some surprising stuff. all improv. glad they had fun.


keep watching, there's more to come over the next month.

Soundmix is complete. Waiting on FDL to send me his score now so we can make adjustments and do the final mixdown. feels good to be almost done with this one. and then I gotta do it all over again for the logn version. the 12 minute version that is...
 
Falling Up is almost done post production. I'm shooting "Keeper of the Lost" with MattSpat this weekend.

I think I am addicted to shooting...
