Uncompressed options?

I'm just trying to get my head around the various options for uncompressed (or close to) HD recording from my XLH1's.

I've seen the FlashDrive (?) device which looks impressive, and I know there is a HD-SDI card available for desktop computers.

Are there any other options for uncompressed recording?

cheers

Uncompressed is tough without hauling around a small RAID. Then you've got to back up all that data nightly (if you're on a feature or multi-day shoot). From what I'm hearing a lot of folks are using the IO-HD and a MacBook Pro and recording ProRes HQ to disk. The IO-HD wasn't available when I shot my film. So we carted around a MacPro. But the workflow is identical and we're VERY pleased.

Iam planning to get the Canon XL HD H1 camera for my next project.Did any one tried this to shoot a movie using this. IF YES,hOW Is the result of this camera.

I've have this camera (the latest XL-H1S) and have owned the original XL-H1. They are superb cameras.

As Robert mentioned, I capture to an AJA IO HD to ProRes 422HQ for larger project. The quality is amazing.

You can watch my reel on my site, which have several films shot this way, if you need reference.
