heh, i think every fest is half doomsdayfest. I can't count the number of post-apocalyptic films I've seen at dvxuser! that said, if doomsdayfest it is, I won't even have to think about fitting the theme. 3 out of 6 fest projects I've worked on fit the bill! :zombie_smiley:

docfest exists! check out the dvxfest section on the homepage.
sequelfest would be awesome and heartbreaking. especially if you had the advantage of making sequals about anyone's films. heh... I say heartbreaking cause I'm sure some of the films are people's babies and who wants to see their children in the hands of others!

Oh, this is sad news, Mike. I ALWAYS look forward to your films each fest. Maybe I will have to finally make my own in your absence (although it would not surmount the quality of a Horrigan film, it would be something).

Script Fest - users submit scripts, they are shuffled around, and given to submitters and they must make the movie!
AKA Script Switch
No Face Fest - Never see any characters faces
First Person Fest- all the films must be shot from First Person Perspective
Video Game/virtual fest- games must be based in a virtual world (new or existing)
Catch Phrase fest - Users must make films with a lot of catch phrases (original only)
Girl Fest - lead MUST be a girl (actual)
Inanimate fest - Non living objects must come to life
Taco fest - tacos
Sign Language Fest
Hermaphodite Fest
Legend Fest
Epic Fest
1999 Fest
2000 Fest

I would have thought it would be Pulp Fest to follow on from the script Fest of the same title. That way there will already be a number of scripts ready to make into films and it will be up to the crews to pick and make deals for the scripts they would like to produce.
