This is a web spot I did for GREGGAVEDON.COM Gregg is one of the top fitness models in the country and a damn nice guy.

He's been on the cover of Men's Health Magazine more than any other model.

Check it out. Shot on a DVX100b? ----I won't admit that anywhere else, but here. (just kidding) (no I'm not).

Thats mindblowing, to me it looks like HVX footage and not the DVX,,, its just "too clean and crisp" for the DVX,,,,,lighting was sick.
Care to share your scene file settings and how you got the footage to look so spankin hot if it were the DVX???

Thanks for the feedback guys! Glad you liked the spot.

As far as scene files go, I don't mess around too much with them. I'll play with the color temp here and there, but otherwise I color correct in post.

The DVX and the HVX respond to light---I guess all cameras do. But I tend to light bright to excite the chip inside the camera. I like contrast in any shoot. I crunch the blacks and will use Magic Bullet from time to time. Magic Bullet darkens everything, so if I'm gonna use it, I make sure the areas I want to see are lit well. I don't blow them out, but I push it where I can. The camera seems to respond well to it.

The cameras are noisy, so if I end up with a particular noisy shot, I do run a denoiser pluggin from CHV. I don't know if you guys know of a better one.

I used some lowel 500W lights, a couple Lowel DP's 1000W, & a couple 250w. The smoke in the one shot is actually ---Wait for it---BABY POWDER. It works good for a onesy shot (it doesn't linger like smoke does though)
