"Dead Week" - A film by Kyle Stebbins (and company)

Maybe I should start whoring myself out to DVXuser... if only we had budgets around here

The cool thing is once we all start making money and having budgets we can then hire said Whores and then actually pay them...
Hint Hint...
DVXuser What a great place to be.

Can't wait to see this one! I'm definitely looking forward to a zombie movie!

Thanks dude!

Nate and I have been slaving over our computers over the past several days. I've grown a fond appreciation for DVCPRO-HD and am so thankful that my FTP client has been behaving nicely. Nate has been downloading and uploading clips with ease. Some take longer than others... but that is to be expected.

As I plow through this edit, and spend more and more time scraping the bad and brushing off the good, I'm reminded of all the good times I had when I was enrolled in the film school here at UNL. I remember late nights in dorm rooms editing for previous dvx festivals, taking board-breaks and posting my updates on the threads giving myself a chance to see how everyone else was doing, living off of mostly snack foods from the basement convenient store. -- I've met some wonderful people here, and in turn have created some great memories.

Almost every day I think about my decision to switch into the College of Journalism where I study Advertising... but I also think about all of the new people I have met and how familiar I have become with this new exciting field. Sometimes it feels like I moved backwards... and that maybe I'll never graduate college... but from what I hear, that's a pretty common sentiment amongst students my age.

Anywho...

I've been putting together a score for Dead Week that is composed of mostly royalty free noise that I tweak and edit to my liking. As much as I would have liked to compose all of the music myself, I realized that there is just simply not enough time to juggle everything this time around.

School is up and down, but for the most part I'm not having much trouble finding time to dedicate to this project. Just last night I completed a demo DVD for my dad's band (the one that Mark J played keys with last New Year's Eve here in Lincoln) and it received a widespread approval from the band.

Lately I've also been running compression tests to see what types of Quicktime files my Xbox 360 can play back so we can premiere Dead Week in full high definition when the time comes.

It's crunch time, dudes and ladies! How we doin!?

Really looking forward to seeing your film Kyle, but especially looking forward to seeing some more of Nate's handy work. Hopefully it's not the mostly invisible kind like in O2.

Having some fun this morning. This'll probably be spiced up some more by the final release. I get to play quite a bit with this sequence :)
