I've had it!

I'm entering the fest. YES, now, on 14. October, 2008., just less than two weeks to do all the filmmaking, I, Mile Božičević, the guy with a name which only a few of you can pronounce correctly, I, who is looking at this fest forum for last couple of days, I, with my 22 years and so-called experience with my work so far, I, who has habbit of writing too long and pointless sentences, I will make a movie for the DVXUser Twilight Fest 2008!

*breathing deeply*

Ok so basically, I looked a couple of Timefest movies (not all yet but I will:)), and I'm simply...very happy to see there's a community like this. Constructive criticism. Begginers and pros. I just don't know where to start, I have whole lotta comments and questions about some of those films, but ok, I'll get it easy so we'll see...

The poster for film will be done till Friday. I've had two flashback ideas when I saw the theme, but one will have to wait, since the great lack of time at this point.
The other one, well, it's not a genius product or something revolutionary, but I want to see will I be able to put it through until the end. Basically, will the final product look like I imagined it.

I know it may sound silly or a little prepotentous to say: ''Me haz loving tha film, me gonna make tha film. Me have 2 weeks, me don't care, me cool.'' :/
But, I have my secret weapon! And that one is -

NO UNECESSARY SLEEPING!

To tell you the truth I am a little excited, so I thought will I post this now or after I get the poster...but now, I somehow made a pact and would feel completely ashamed if I fail.

The title is not at it's final (working title), the script is almost done, although this movie will be most directed while editing. Why is that, you'll see, and until then, I'll keep talking to my imaginary friends and try understand why I listened to them when they told me to write all of this. This IS MY writing, not theirs...I mean...THEY DID help me but...ammm....

I think it might translate to 'pretentious' in English. Prepotente is the Spanish synonym translation (arrogant or high handed). Sorta, I think.

They say wishing 'good luck' from a hitman cannot be a good thing. :P Yet, they say a lot of things, so I thank you pauly.

First preparations and photos have been ok, locations are established, poster will be done in about day or two, compositor have already made couple of themes and the main actress is practicing her part right now.

Today the mainboard should be (must be!) finished, tomorrow we're having first pre-shooting (none of shots will be used for final) and of course, I have a lot of work aside, unexpectedly.

Also, I changed the title of the movie and this one's final:

Alex, yes, 'prepotentous' is kind of mix up of Croatian and English (pretentious=prepotentan), didn't had anything Spanish in mind. : )
 
So, the script is over (probably one of the fastest ever written ^^), locations are settled, we're shooting with Sony Z1, which is for this movie a LOT better than it deserves.

The hardest part is the TIME factor, and hiring the young actor (app. 8 years old).
After a lot of negotioation, we decided she'll act, in exchange I buy her-guess what?

A BALL! :D
 
Hey Mile. If you can include some local scenery that would be cool. Nothing worse than seeing a short from say, Russianitza only to be filmed inside of a hotel room, which we've all seen before.

Good luck man, love seeing new stuff. And no, I cannot pronounce your last name, haha, yet anyways.
 
Poster si half-made, I guess tomorrow it'll be finished. First preparations went ok, the only thing I fear is the music(which is not over yet, of course).

Also, the title is ''Fragment'', I would ask the mods if it's possible to change the topic name, that Infinity gibberish was working title (that lasted for one day:P).

As for the local scenery, this one will be based mostly indoors (the script says so), but around here there are some great locations, unique, I'd say.

You're right, it's too bad I didn't use that, but as I can see, fest's around here are all the time, and I just might get a new editing system next month... :D
 
Welcome to the fest Mile! You can do it...it's only a 6 minute (max) film. It takes longer than that to drink a good beer.

Looking forward to what you come up with. Best of luck.
 
Thanks ZazaCast, I see you've already finished. I guess you're now drinking those good beers you've been talking about, and you definitley deserve it. You and all the other multi-twilighters: )

Poster is finished, uptaded the first post. There may be a version 2 of it, though that doesn't really mater at this point.

Music is finished, now we need to turn the notes into USABLE music for editing. (composer is from other city so he's sending us his note script)

The main actress is having a hard time fulfiling the tasks I gave her, but it'll turn all right I guess.

The shootings are in Sunday and Monday, I just hope there will be no rain at the time. Other than that, and the fact I'm a little weak and tired, everything is going according to plan.

I think I'm gonna make it. : )

So today was another shooting. It didn't go as well as I expected, but all in all, on scale 1-10, it deserves 8. We have all the footage I wanted from that one, now we have one more to go.

Music is almost done, I picked up the notes script and now they're being entered into digital form, hope it'll be completly done by tomorrow. All that needs to be done is that one shooting left and then comes blessed editing.

Then, mindbending can begin. : D

Ta-dah! I made it!

In less than two weeks, I somehow managed it. :D
So my formula was succesful; less sleeping, less eating, and waiting for some inspiration to come.

Damn again i didnt see this topic -.- , still waiting for the movie to be available for dload ;D, now off to sleep my spine hurts off to continue my dream of spy planes and satelites :D
 
WELCOME TO THE FEST and WOW! Two weeks? Thats very impressive. Congrats. I'm looking forwad to seeing it. I'm especially interested in what people turn out in short amounts of time. I think the time pressure of the deadline can instigate some fantastic creativity.
