LOL... yes, soon.... I'm getting there...let me just say, blood was shed (and it wasn't the fake kind!)...then there was the insident with the local Sheriff...

oh **** man!

i called the cops for EVERY day that we were shooting.
they reeeaaally appreciated it.

can't wait to hear the story (and hopefully see some pics!)
 
I tried to push for the explosion originally planned, but no explosive goodness appears in the film :(

On a positive note, the first VFX shot has been completed; 'tis just like what I did on O2 though, in that none of you will notice, muahahahahaha!

//darts back off into the shadows.

The first VFX shot is indeed complete. Simple stuff, for our resident roto-ninja.

I've about completed our heaviest FX shot yet, and will be giving free-reign to Nate to have him add whatever he feels is necessary to the scene. I want him to run wild with it.

We finished a quick pickup last night, and now it's back to the editing booth.

I should have more grabs for you soon.
 
I really can't wait to see some footage from this beast! Next time you come over or vice-versa you'll have to let me get a sneak peek.
 
The editing in this is pretty freakin' sweet. Leigh and I got to see a WIP of the opening scene on Saturday night, and what Kyle is doing with it is very cool. I can't wait to see even the non-VFX scenes fully finished, it's that awesome :D

Please excuse the threadjack, Kyle. Just wanted to give another update. We spent the day at Warner Bros. today doing last minute preproduction for the internet series pilot we're shooting this weekend. It's got a good cast and should be a good time. We also got to discuss a really cool upcoming project that it looks like Fat Monster is going to get to produce.

Just our luck that things are starting to break for the Monster and the economy is collapsing around us..... (sigh) :)

HEY NATE -- also appears there will be a little bit of FX work for you on this one. We'll be talking at you tomorrow to discuss that and some other stuff. Keep Kyle honest and make him look good, dude!

As for the economy... my advice is that you just watch who you vote for ;)

Feels like just yesterday that your team was putting young Nebraska film students in extreme conditions to get what you wanted:
