Calls From The Führerbunker

I wish you a very successful work tonight. How many shooting days do you have left?

Susanne
Just finished a quick edit of tonight's shoot, I now have half the movie roughly edited. We need at least one more night at the bunker, possible two. The problem is that we are only getting 3.5 hours each shoot. Lugging all the gear between 4 floors at the bunker is pretty time consuming. The place is massive! That eats up a lot of the time. That and the fact that I'm trying to direct, shoot, light, sound test, etc...

Still, tonight's shoot went even better than Tuesday nights. We're rolling now.
I would also like to thank a local DVX member, his name is Jordan. He has been the only help I've received during this shoot and he's proven himself invaluable. I'm giving him a PA credit! The guy is awesome, a great helping hand.

The actors are doing a fabulous job and I'm very happy with what I'm seeing thus far.

I may not post any further grabs. I don't want to spoil it. :)

Cheers,

Mike

Hang in there...I know it's difficult to do everything yourself, but from what I've seen it doesn't affect the incredible professionalism & quality of your films. Seems I always have to do everything myself too...so let me just say...you're my hero!

I'm really looking forward to this one.

Thanks, man. Hopefully I'm not making it seem like I'm Superman. I'm not.

I actually love having control over everything. Have to tell you though, I would have liked to have sat back a few times with a drink in my hand and boss people around. Oh wait! I do that to my actors.

j/k Ian.

Hi Mike,

Yes, this bunkers are very uncomfortable and usually very dirty. I remeber that Jason had an art exhibition in a bunker with 4 floors under ground under the Alexanderplatz in Berlin five years ago. He had to bring all his installation down there and it wasn't easy.
However, it seems that your film is going ahead - nice to see it! :)
