"Dead Week" - A film by Kyle Stebbins (and company)

I actually did get a couple prints made of it and framed them.

If anyone would like a print, let me know. They are 16"x20", full color vinyl poster prints... really high quality. They will come signed with a personal note on the back. I've incorporated the word "alphabet" to the bottom of it (as you can see at my site... kylestebbins.com). I'll sell them for $60/piece (no tax) and that will include expedited shipping in the US. I realize that might sound like a lot but consider the price of printing and the amount of time put in to the work. ;) -- Maybe I'll even include a free copy of Dead Week on DVD for those of you who can wait. ;)

Just learned of a ZOMBIE WALK taking place in downtown Lincoln on September 20th! Can you believe this timing? Apparently an average of about 200 people will dress up as bloody, gory, moaning, groaning zombies and terrorize the streets!

I seriously can't stress enough how truly lucky we are to have this little bit of AWESOME in our lives at SUCH a perfect time.

Dude! Stebbs I'm absolutely in love with what you did for the alphabet! If I wasn't so damn broke I'd probably snag one of those posters from you! I might just have to pick one up in the near future though.

I can't believe you didn't know about the Zombie Walk! I'm pretty sure they started doing it just last year if my memory serve's me correctly. Anyways I would have to agree that it's just about perfect timing and I can't wait to see how you use this one to your advantage! It's gonna be epic!

Tell me about it. How cool is that? - Unfortunately it's the same night that I have a previous engagement to set up a wedding slideshow for a reception downtown. My good friend Alex Jeffery (also on these boards) is going to help me capture the event.

I hope to jet out of the area as soon as I get the chance, however, so I can film the undead!
 
Kyle I have the 20th off of work if you guys need another helping hand for shooting the Zombies. Also, as of now I have to work of the 28th even though I requested the day off, but I'll see if I can't work some ol' Homer magic and get it off anyways, I'll let you know. Anyways give me a hollar if you need me on the 20th.
 
Oh Homer... the 28th is the biggest day of the shoot! We'll be on-location at the Gold's building for most of the day shooting. The location has been confirmed by the property managers and we are a definite go for that Sunday.

A bit of Fat Monster news:

We've been taking more meetings on the Warner Bros. lot. Although it was beginning to feel like the wheels in Hollywood were grinding excessively slow, we've finally worked out a deal to begin shooting a new series with Carl Weathers (Rocky, Predator etc.) at the helm as director for the first episode.

We're currently slated to begin shooting October 5th. The script for the first show is by Gary Graham (Gary starred as Detective Matt Sikes in the series Alien Nation and is well known to Star Trek fans for his role as the Vulcan Ambassador Soval).

Additionally, we're completing our own short film which will serve as a pitch piece for a series set in Iraq (frames from which Kyle has generously allowed me to post here in his thread). We've been screening a rough of the firefight scene that Tim edited and the response has been very good so far. There is definite interest in the project and we have an enthusiastic representative all set to pitch it on our behalf. Moreover, the footage has already opened a couple of doors for us so that we're very happy with our decision to take on the burden of shooting it last month.

We're in the process of finalizing shooting a new opening for the piece that will hopefully increase it's emotional resonance. Today we met with John Fasoni, who is a writer/producer/director with a really impressive list of credits. John really gave some great notes and advice regarding the story. It seems that every week we are blessed with and surprised by altruistic assistance in a town not exactly known for it's generosity. In most instances such help is really a roundabout return of a favor in some form. We were put in touch with John by a friend who we have been helping out and it just goes to show that doing good results in good things.

So, that's it for now. We may not be seeing much glamour or buying boats, but at least we're making a living doing what we love and we're definitely getting some good foundations laid with some very good people to know. We'll try to stay focused. As Gary put it in a recent e-mail: "Ok, monsters, you're on. Everybody loves you so far. Don't f*ck it up."

Kick ass Mark! Hey Kyle, I was planning on going to the Pulp Fiction screening the night of the 19th, maybe I can crash at Alex's and help shoot the zombie walk the next day :)

Nate - considering Alex's current predicament, I think that would be fantastic!

I've been really racking my brain thinking of those people I could trust to work with a camera and capture the results I desire for the Zombie Walk... and finding that you are going to be in town for the weekend has really been calming!! Yes! please!!! Perhaps you and Homer can take our cameras out and capture some of the event.

We'll talk about it more later, and depending on Alex's current condition, we'll decide exactly who does what.

I'll talk to you more about it soon, man. - I'll definitely take you up on your offer.
And let's plan on going to see Pulp Fiction together.
 
I hope you don't mind the inviting of myself to go to Pulp Fiction with you guys..... Cause I just did.

And Kyle don't you worry I'll do whatever it takes to make it on the 28th, even if I have to resort to the Little Giants method of Intimidation.

Sweetness...Pulp Fiction should be fun then. Leigh will probably be going too, and I'm sure we'll run in to her so you can meet her in person before actually shooting anything :tongue:

EDIT: Aw poop, just found out she won't be going to Pulp Fiction, but she'll be part of the zombie walk :D
