Questions dealing with MacBook Pro and Duel Adapter

I suppose I will be buying a duel adapter to get my P2 footage on my Macbook Pro. Two questions:
First, what duel adapter are any of you guys having luck with? I am seeing some for $40 on ebay and some for $120...
Second, if I take my MBP with me to a shoot... how long will it take the get the full P2 card dumped onto my computer (or in actuality probably to an external hard drive)?

I have a new MacBookPro (2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM) but it does not have FinaL Cut Pro, or any other NLE system on it that can read/capture.

If I get the Duel Adaptor, what else would I need to take the footage from the P2 card to an external hard drive (or even internal hard drive?)

Since I won't have an NLE with a capture capability, what would be the best (in terms of speed, quality, simplicity, cost) piece of equipment since I believe that I do need one more piece? (Do I?)

Also, if the best choices differ due to costs, what are the options that people have chosen?

You can just copy the contents of the card to an external hard drive and then dump the raw files onto your editing computer later.

It is not that simple - drag and drop or copy / paste from the P2 card can screw up the data (or so I am lead to believe)

I use P2CMS (free download)
it is a bit of a procedure, but at least it seems to be a stable way to get the footage off the P2 card.

Are there still known problems with the Duel and MBPs?
Or does it work like a charm now?
I´m still using our 2nd HVX for offloading when shooting, I either want the Duel now or a cheap PCMCI slot PC laptop...

I was having the same concerns and head to Costa Rica for a shoot next week where for the first time I'll be using this work follow and a MBP.
I did some tests last week and it seemed fine - I did have some questions though, but nobody responded - here is the thread:
