THIRST- A Matt Sconce Film

That's too bad because the RED really excels when it come to effects shots...which this seems to be heavily laden with.

The HVX200 keys hold up extremely well in my experience, but it would be wonderful to have the resolution of the RED. I just know how incredibly time and memory intensive the PC workflow was during PUSH. Since all of my programs are PC based, I will have to wait until, 1. RED has a kick butt PC workflow, or 2. I go completley MAC based, before I will tackle that beast again.

And maybe Justin doesn't want to offer up his RED on free projects anymore.

If not, I'll give him a call. Haha! :D

He probably does not need to offer it on free projects as he has enough footage to show it off now. It was not a free project. It was used in trade. Jusitn is a great guy and I am sure if we needed to use the RED we could work out a deal. I am simply not going that direction this time. I had to CUT in After effects for PUSH, and that was not a happy experience. haha:beer: Also, I already know and have a pipeline for the mxf HVX200 footage so it will move much faster, saving me time for post.

Sweet! I am getting good feedback from people reading the script. I have been able to tweak some things and make others more clear. I think this will make for a much better script.

I have also approached the Actress I would like to place Alice, but am waiting for an answer to the role. If she accepts the role, I have two more parts to cast "The Mother and Father of a 12 year old girl" and then I can start storyboarding.

Okay, My storyboarding process is now starting. I am using a program that I already love called Storyboard Quick 5. For those of you who suck with scale realism drawings....this program is a lifesaver. haha. If any of you remember my storyboard art...you will know why I need this...:crybaby:

Matt, I'm not familiar with that tool. Can you post a couple sample images from it so we can see what the output looks like? I would love to find a really good storyboarding program....

What I need that program to, I think we may have had the two storyboard drawings out there. Im going to check it out.

These are NOT storyboards from THIRST but they are an example of some work I did with Storyboard Quick 5. You can import your own backgrounds, and pictures with alpha mattes and such from photoshop and they have a ton of posed characters.

Okay, I am off until Friday as My dad, Myself, Troy and his wife, head down to AOF together. Hope to see some of you there!

Dang Matt, this is intense! And a shot inspired by Aetas, woohoo! I can't wait to see this. Just remember that its better to imply an effect if it cant be done to par, better to give us two effects that blow us away, then 10 effects that are 'meh'.

Rock on!

Hey guys. I am down at AOF waiting for the doors to open. I wandered in to a Mac store and am typing on a sweet Mac system! I wish I could take it home...but it won't fit in my pocket. See ya later. I will update again if I can.
