SGpro + HVX200 + Washing Car

your lens has a lot of breathing in it for sure.. on that rack to the bucket super noticable. what were you using?

canon FD 50mm 1.8. I noticed the amount of breathing, I was originally using a 50mm 1.8 eos which had far less breathing but lacked the manual aperture controls. I am not sure yet if this is a isolated issue on just this lens or if this is just how the FD lenses operate. I just received the rest of my FD lenses today (28,35,80,100,135 mm's) and plan shoot some more test footage to see what i come up with.

Man that is funny... LOL. I believe that it's the nature of also using still lens that aren't ever designed to show through the process of adjusting them.. if you know what I mean. They are designed to be used for still shots. A lot of people who use these adapters will rent cinema lenses and the problem goes away. I'm sure there's a sticky though on what lenses work best, and hopefully a company will make some for adapters that don't show this breathing. We'll see

:) BTW i wanted to say i love the shot where the hoses are filling with water. Those are the kinda of shots i look for while doing production. Like finding a 100bill on the street.

Justyn,

I totally agree. The use of cinema lenses or higher end still lenses would clear this up.

deedive,

Thanks alot. I think its nice when your shooting and you just see something and it clicks in your brain to shoot it and later on your like man that worked out great.
