I can't wait to see the 9min version. I was watching this and drinking a soda at the same time...the song caught me, my soda and nostrils off guard. Beautifully done!
nice website Zak. My friend just recently made a really strong short film and we are studying how you are taking IFHY around to fests. Your experiences have helped a ton.
I was trying to watch the secretive, sneaky preview, but in vain. It simply didn't load or buffer anything during those 10 minutes (then I also reloaded, but nothing). Any reason why's that?
I use the latest Firefox and Flash Player over Windows XP and connected to the world via an average 5MB cable connection.
Well my friend Zak, I am so charmed! it was such a pleasure to watch.
Starting with your story idea, that's a wonderful story which we all can relate to so easily. And it's a great bonus to give your audience, the feeling of... really being that character and being able to see ourselves in it without even trying to.
Then come Woods and Kerr, two excellent actors that are such a joy to watch on the screen. They both seem to give themselves fully to their characters, in a way that is simply fascinating. I certainly agree with Kerr about being drawn to such characters.
But what's even more unique about this beautiful film, is the fact that it's really all improvised. Being able to come up, in the full sense of the term, with a short film so well (based on the trailer) says much about its crew.
Like many others, I literally cannot wait to watch it fully.
Congrats man, thats pretty freaking awesome, but quite deserved too. I forget are there eventual plans for a DVD release of IFHY after you all complete the festival circuit?
I just got off the phone... circumstances are such that I can't announce the entity through which this is going to happen (yet) as they are planning a big announcement and promotional push in the near future, but I was just offered a very attractive deal (90/10 in my favor) that includes DVD, VOD, downloads, etc.
best of all its non-exclusive so I still own my work.
