Because the ExpressCard includes USB by design, IINM. I could be talking out my hat, but it's my understanding that ExpressCards can communicate to both PCI-E and USB.

i have a duel adapter works great, really, really wish they'd make one with more p2 slots though. i've even thought about buying a couple of them and turning them into one three headed monster(if that would even be possible). unfortunately i don't have budget to buy a bunch of stuff to probably destroy it.

even better if they made a duel adapter with three p2 slots and 1 or 2 esata ports for a little raid. that way you could completely utilize the potential bandwith. i would love the possibility to drop multiple cards onto a little portable raid at the speed of light.

oh and i am talking about using this with a MBP, i know everything is supported by windows, but i hate windows

No, not for $500. Still seems too pricey for a PCMCIA to _______ (Fill in your interface) Its not like a storage device, and it wont have any error checking process either. So no, at 500 bucks it should have some sort of error checking or storage adapted to it.

If it were under 250, I would say yes just for the convenience of not having to plug in my HPX every time I want to transfer. But just like the PCD20, its too expensive for something that just changes interfaces.

Definitely would! Would be a hit! Preferably with a F400 or F800 as appose to a USB but a USB only would be just as welcomed. A dual P2 slot would be great but not a must. This would save me the expense of finding a second hand P2 store in good condition north of $1000. Dual adaptor didn't work well on a Macbokpro wasn't very user friendly but can be made to work from what I understand and it costs around $250 so 500 might be to much for a none storage device.
