Bill O'Reilly goes nuts!

I've seen worse, haha. Not defending Bill O'Reilly or anything.

But anyone who's ever worked in TV or news has seen this kinda **** and more. :D

This kinda shi* basically is his career though. He's famous for going at people like that. Usually he saves it for his guests, unless of course they agree with his point of view on everything!

I saw Steve Jobs absolutely melt down on his own staffers and anyone unlucky enough to be in the vicinity during the MacWorld show in 2000 or so.

Larry Ellison is a douchebag of incredible proportion. He epitomizes that power-broker character you see in movies - the one with six black-clad staffers shuffling around next to him at all times yakking on their Bluetooth-enabled phones. When his little boat wrecked during that race, a lot of people wondered why God had spared him. He treats people shabbily as well.

Bill Gates, on the other hand, is a Mensch of the highest order. Absolutely one of the nicest people of power I've ever been lucky enough to work for. He arrives with one assistant - usually looks a lot like him too! As one of the richest people in the world, it is strange to think he is just kind of out there like that. His leadership in philanthropic campaigns speaks volumes to his disposition.

Also, I produced six episodes for Charlie Rose when he came to San Francisco. That guy is a class-act. Knows his material, is casual and professional. He just kinda cruised into the room as we were finishing our pre-light for the show and said, "Hi, I'm Charlie". After a few handshakes, he went off and didn't give us an ounce of trouble over the next two days. His producer, Yvette is as smooth as he is. I guess birds of a feather flock together.

These other guys in this thread are pundits and blowhards and should be much less relevant.

As if no one else on this board has lost it before. Jeez.
Please! He treated his staff terribly.
I can honestly say that I've never gone off on someone like that. The guy was throwing stuff around and he looked like a two year old having a tantrum.

Very sad... :thumbdown

Everyone loses it from time to time. It's how you lose it that matters.

Bill-o is the best. So entertaining. Who doesn't love a villain? I think he makes great television.

The part that scares me is that some americans believe what he says instead of watching him for entertainment value.

That freak-out clip is great, though not too different from his regular show.

Come on, guys! This clip was obviously taken out of context. It is apparent that something more had happened and he was frustrated. I am not supporting yelling at your staff, but even still, we all have our moments where we go a little over board. You are kind of blowing this out of proportion and I don't know if it is a bias issue or what, but it is a bit ridiculous.

Hilarious.

From a distance there is something so funny about a person with a short fuse.

He forgot to call him a pinhead though.

He's the rightwing George Costanza.

That doesn't change the fact that it's hilarious to watch.

I've had some pretty bad days in my life but I have never taken it out on staff and/or acted like a child in front of them. That's a quick way to lose all their respect for you.

He obviously has a short fuse and is used to getting his own way.
