Hey,
I'm not a electrical engineer, so take my advice for what's it worth, but unfortunately, it looks like something could be wrong with your CCD. Yes, it should be fixable, however, you should be aware that Panasonic has stopped producing some parts for the DVX. Therefore, you should take/send it to Panasonic or get it checked out at a certified Panasonic repair shop in your area.
Below is the the link to the Panasonic Canadian Website. The head of the Department is Chris. He's a real nice guy. Ask for him and tell him that your located in Ottawa (Pansonic HQ is located in Mississuaga) and if you could send him a pic or a video via email of what the camera is doing, so he can assess it before you send your DVX in. They charge 150.00 minimum if you decide to send it.

Hey dvxusers,
When replying, try to answer the posters questions. The reason why is because it becomes tedious reading through 3 pages just to get a answer to the original question. I think its okay to joke and mess around, I'm guilty of it myself, but as long as you give or answer the posters questions. That's what these form are for, to learn and have fun. Look at some of the post from the vets here, like Barry Green, he answers the posters question, helps them out and at the same time has fun. But, when guys take up one page writing nonsense comments it becomes tedious. I've seen it happening more and more, its just annoying and unproductive. My 2 cents.
