Michael Bay fest would be legendary.

Jerry Bruckheimer fest, everyone has to flip a vehicle.

Just lingering around the forums waiting for confirmations. Good luck to those who made the films. Half a day to go. =]
 
My number 1 pick: Politics (drama) or Political Satire...NO HOLDS BARRED.

There are tons of great kid and animal film ideas; however, aren't there legal/labor hurdles around using kid actors...and animals? Sci-fi may be a little hard to compete given the pro editor members.

as much as i'd love one, there is no way in hell dvxuser will ever host a fest for political filmmaking. too much potential for heated debate.
 
I am going to start the "under 10 minute fest" mantra again. As long as the file size limit stays where its at, let not rush the film makers telling their stories because of some arbitrary time limit of 6 minutes. People can make a 1 minute -10minute film and have it be what was envisioned. just a thought
 
While they may add too many "u's" for our taste, I think they got one misspelling right: aluminium. Not "aluminum" like yanks call it, but "aluminium" with an extra "i". It just makes sense -- all other "um" elements I can think of off the top of my head end with "ium": titanium, uranium, plutonium, helium, calcium, selenium... I think we got it wrong when we took the "i" out of "aluminium." :)
