Any Ideas?

I'm going to be at film school for the next couple of weeks and I'm going to have the opportunity to shoot a couple of short movies on 16mm film. I've had a long time to think of ideas, but every one of mine just doesn't live up to what I want. My friend bailed out on writing a script for one of them, so I'm left with no ideas for a couple short films. The real problem is that no dialogue is allowed so I really have to come up with something clever to have a good short film. If I do any of my ideas, the audience will think I stole ideas from other movies. The sound I am allowed to have is anything non-sync: music, voiceover, sound effects.

The first film I do is required to be in B&W, and it has to be around 2-3 minutes long.
The second also has to be black and white, but can be around 4-5 minutes.
The third film is again, B&W, but it can be 5-6 minutes, and it should use a lot of cuts, and it should be driven by music.

The final film is allowed to be on color, and it can use all types of non-sync sound, and it can be around 7-8 minutes long.

Does anybody have any ideas? I'd really appreciate some help. I'll send you a DVD copy of the films if you help me with an idea and I'll also put your name in the credits.

HELP!

I really need an idea for a short, silent film that will be filmed in only one shot. I'm allowed to pan and tilt but I can't actually move the camera. I'm having major writers' block and I can't think of anything. It should be shot in a city scene. Please help.

THanks,
Z

You could have a guy cross a street (towards the camera) and have him bump into a girl. They can flirt and walk off together.

Doorman falls in love with a girl. The girl is a dog walker. He sees her every day as she walks past his building. She is young, good looking and cheery. He is older, sullen, and pessimistic. This is shown through body language. He makes a move to talk to her, you show their dialogue in reaction shots and let the music do the work, and is turned down. He walks back to his post.

Show the different social status and life paths that the the two character are on and give their lives definition through these to show a complex idea of self and how we think of ourselves.

There. That'll be $50.
