CARRY-ON - A Caffesse/Wildman Film

Nope...not there. So it must be after this version that it was added.

Good news on another front - our actress just left and we were able to ADR a line we were having trouble with. Thanks to everyone that gave me feedback so far - I never would have caught that issue without your ears. It's amazing how clear all the lines sound to you when you know what they are.
:)

Hopefully that problem is behind us now.
We'll see.

I shot in a kitchen with a shotgun and had to adr about 5 or 6 lines, it is not the easiest thing to do. Glad it came out well.

yeah, I have to ADR about 4 more lines. It's a ***** and I don't like to do it, but the actor I need to do it with is REALLY good at it, so...

Thanks
:)

Encoding now...finally.
Had some people in from out of town for my wife's birthday - so I coudln't give this the attention it deserved today. Hopefully I'll be uploading in the next hour or so....

...I can't wait to have this loaded up and finished.

DAMN
Just encoded two different versions.
Came out to 52 and 53MB each.

Encoding another two right now.
Hopefully this time I'll get as close to the edge without going over.

Everytime I set my bitrate I feel like I'm bidding on the showcase on the Price is Right here.

(yes... the Price is Right, that's what I said)

Finally got one that works...but it's 46.4MB.
I can't help but think I can get it closer (and cleaner).

I've got 5 more files encoding as I type this.
One of these is going to be it...damn it.

This will be a late night upload for certain.

I think I did something wrong, because my file is 640X360, 10 min movie, looks pretty good for a web-encode, and is 41 megs...

I'm trying to get a 960x540 file
I guess I'm greedy.

EDITED TO ADD:
Yeah, I'm using compressor.
Set 5 of them to encode and walking away for a bit before I punch my computer out of frustration.
:)
I'll be back later...obviously.

ah, well since I am exhibit only, I will be hosting 720 DivX and h264 versions on my own site when the fest goes live, so I didn't sweat it too much.

No - you get that when you compress Mpg2 files for DVD.
You can choose all sorts of options in Compressor.
So for this I'm compressing an H.264 file (under 'Formats' under 'Quicktime').

Luis, Quick question: doesn't that setting force you to keep the slider on high? I have been using that setting and when I click the data rate off automatic, it locks the slider on quality high. That makes it hard to decrease the size of the file for me.

luis, i don't know if this will help at all, but in compressor, if I got the "estimated files size" to read just under 56mb, i wound up with an actual file size of 49mb.

you need to manually type in the data rate. I was able to do 1360kbits/sec for picture and a 128k aac for audio at a variable bit rate. the slider becomes irrelevant because the taking it off automatic means the data rate is no longer dependent on the "quality" setting.
