Working on a couple of composites for the film. These are far from done, but just started sketching out how I want to obscure the action a little because the character's POV is from outside a window.

Mark, should there be blinds in this reverse shot? This is his direct POV from outside? BTW, I like the shots.

Yeah, they are there, but too spread apart right now. We actually shot it with him in the left side of the frame, but when I looked at it in post, it looked a little stiff. So I have been playing with compositing his reflection into the window as well. So the final shot might be something more like this:

I am still playing with all of this and it might turn out different. But...

The shot with his reflection is way cool. Looks better than the other one (both good shots though) to me.
 
They are actually a little crappy and unfinished compared to the final versions I came up with today. I'll make you all wait for the film to see those :)

But thanks Luis. This looks like it's shaping up to be a really fun fest with lots of cool films.

Was going to say the EXACT same thing.

Awesome composite indeed. Now, in the window shot, he was looking through the Hoop of the bottom of the "J"...and in the reverse shot, it looks as if he is looking through the "hoop" which is great continuity.
 
all right, so these composites are pretty much done as of tonight. A little tweaking, but. And I think, except for one more composite and some CC help from Jack Stanely, the visuals on this will be about done.

I guess I am just going to take the footage over to his place and use SAMBA to transfer it from my win laptop to his mac station, then he will work on it in color, and pass it back.

Oh yeah, I have two more small shots to get tomorrow night.
