David Lynch inspired

Inspired by Smettlis Man on Fire spoof (sorta), I'm posting a short thing I did yesterday night. It's heavily inspired by David Lynch movies, and the soundtrack is from Lost Highway (which is by the way an awesome movie).

Here it is:

Lynch (5mb)

What is that light transition? (where it just gets brighter for a second or so) I'm assuming you're on Premiere, right? (FCP for me)

eh... it was alright. Not much of a "soundtrack", and doesn't look very "inspired by david lynch", cause it's just a few macro shots... but I guess it's give's you something to do.

And yes, "Lost Highway" is an awesome movie.

rcbrown: the "light transition" as you called it, is actually jsut keyframing the levels of the shot in premiere, much like in Photoshop.. I'm assuming that FCP have this too, so it should be pretty easy. FYI the blurring that happens is called Fast Blur in Premiere, and is a really neat little thing. Also, what is inspired by Lynch is the mood I was trying to capture, even though yes, it was just a few macro shots.

matt: I was hoping for "silencio"! ;)

PaPa: sounds are done by Trent Reznor from NiN (I believe?), and is on the Lost Highway soundtrack.

Got it. Thanks for the explanation.
