I know that Texas is a large state... but what the heck???

I am waiting for this package to arrive. (It is a low-cost High-Rez monitor that I bought here on the marketplace.)

I don't think that it will be here in time for my shoot!!! AND I NEED IT! I am doing dolly shots with a follow focus!

YIKES!

yeah... I've requested the help of 2-3 guys who have worked for me in the past. Great guys. Not really experienced in filmmaking but soon will be!

Uh?!?!?
At this rate your package will be in your neck of the woods sometime in mid August. Check out the "sitting in the warehouse" times between teh arrival and departure times. Sorry dude.
You know, it may just be Karma for having a real stage to set up on.

Here is some of the lighting enhancements that I add since rehearsal.

I lit the doors. I have the electric trimmed to about 9 feet and shoot the light through the panels. The filtered light flows through the room, crossing the bed making for a beautiful face light.

I did the same here with the beaded door into the bathroom. Stunning when the beads sway! Makes lovely images across the set. This two is focused to cross the bed. (love the "spray" of light that shoots across the floor.

btw, this pictures DO NOT justify how nice this really looks. These photos were taken quickly with my Nikon, no tripod, quick shots look directly in to the light source. I'll take some full set photos with lighting later and post them. Regardless... i am loving this lighting!

And here is another of the blinds but with no front fill light at all. Simply the back lighting on the blinds. THIS LIGHTING IS FABO for silhouette shots! (I have a couple of those planned!)

Anyway.... there's some updates for "Love"

Cheers!

Your lighting's really cool, Ted. Can't wait to see some grabs with it.

But for some reason this is a really good shot. . .of her - hope that's not your wife or girlfriend. If so, sorry, and I'm an evil, evil man. LOL.

hee hee hee! That's why I CASTED her!!!!!!! I actually created and wrote this story for her to perform. She is just the sexiest woman I know. You'll see more of her!

Don't want you to strain you eyes with that small button!

Tomorrow we shoot!

Hey, this is looking pretty exciting Ted. I really like how you're working your theater background into it. Good call, gives it a unique look and leverages what you have and others don't.

And wow does that actress have a beautiful ass.

Hey, Thanks Mark! I really am digging this film set on a theatre stage! I just love it.

I am always designing sets and lights for theatre and this is sooo freaking exciting... getting to do this for my own film! (I just hope I don't f*ck up the shoot! I wish I had a DP, or an experienced AC... Boom Op... Grip or Gaffer! I am going to have my hands full! And I ONLY have 6 1/2 hours to shoot it all!!!!)

Anyway, I am pretty stoked about this set. I am thinking that I may have a nitch, as you stated. Something a little different to offer. As you know.... "You gotta have a gimmick!" (From an old musical!)

Thanks again! I really do hope that I don't screw this up!!!

And yes.... Kelli is a very fine woman!
