The film is pretty much complete, with the final CC still needing to be applied. Herman & Erik have done an EXCELLENT job on the score & sound design (thanks guys)!
I'm still slaving away over all the BTS, which is proving to be pretty daunting, but put together a BTS HIGHLIGHT REEL, I thought you may be interested in seeing ... it also features a rockin' variation of the melodic theme that Herman used for the film.
p.s. I'm getting out of the duplication business altogether, and just sold my Rimage Thermal Printer, and have the other stuff on E-Bay now. As such, I've decided to have the discs replicated, so I'll be ordering up 1,000 of them (not much more than just getting 300, lol). So anyone buying this when it's available will have a truly industry standard, professionally packaged product.
*BTS Highligh Reel is only 1.5 minutes long, but 3MB per second, so best viewing may be by right clicking & downloading to view from your PC.
Dang this is going to be awesome. Everything screams pro including the organization and presentation in this thread. Great job man, very stoked to see the final result.
Thanks everyone, glad you're digging it. I had to fly to Miami this past week for business, so it's interrupted my workflow on the DVD. When it's completed (very soon), I'll still then have a 3 week turn around for the DVD replication. Once I have them into the replicator, and the master is approved, I'll list all that's available in the DVD, and start taking the pre-orders, for anyone who's interested.
I showed someone on the flight back the final of the film (via my laptop), and they loved it, raving about this & that...made me feel VERY good to have been able to do this, not to mention just the blessing of having EVERYONE involved that was in the making of this, as it wouldn't be where it's at without them.
Shawn, that was actually the 2nd take of "That's a wrap!", lol. I had done it, but the guy who was shooting BTS wasn't ready for it ... so we did it again for the camera.
Thanks guys. Still editing/working on the DVD now (taking a break to type this). This day job of mine has been BUSY since the first of the year, seriously cramping my editing time.
Matt, great question since I just sold off one of my main pieces of duplication equipment, and have the rest listed on Ebay at the moment, lol.
I'll actually be going replication on this one. I needed more than 300 copies, and it was only a few hundred dollars more to get 1,000 of them replicated, so I'll be going through Discmakers, as they've got some great add-ons (i.e. 18x24 posters, ec.) that I'd like to do for the cast & crew.
Absolutely there will still be a party, though it'll just be your regular cast/crew party vs. actual wrap ... tough to call it a wrap when it's 5 months after we actually wrapped, lol.
Sigh. That's one of the nice things about these fest deadlines. You have NO choice but to get it completed by a certain date, etc. Self imposed deadlines, I've discovered, are soft, and take priority behind regular daily life it appears.
TimeFest? Dunno ... if I did, it'll have to be character driven, extremely controllable environment, and super simplistic in design. Otherwise, I'd be afraid it'll be one more project taking too much time/energy from the big goal: focusing on a feature, once BERLIN is out to fests, etc.
