CARRY-ON - A Caffesse/Wildman Film

Looking forward to your short.

Care to share any stills from the rehearsals so far?

Trust me - they aren't much to look at.
I'll gladly post anything and everything from behind the scenes after the short is finished - but for now I'd rather wait.
I want to try to put our best foot forward - and a wide shot with available light of two actors sitting down isn't all that exciting.
:)

But - when it's all said and done I plan on putting up some BTS stuff showing our workflow with the actors.
That's only if the short isn't horrible - of course.

I may put up some grabs after this weekends shoot -
Speaking of which - got some great news today.
We're moving forward shooting this with a 35mm adapter - and I was able to secure a set of Nikon mount Zeiss primes.

Now if this thing looks bad I only have myself to blame.

Well - locations are all locked, actors are all set, we're getting close.
Revised and locked the script a few days ago.
Spent last night scouting the locations with a DP friend of mind who is helping me in coming up with simple lighting setups that my feable mind can handle.
It's almost starting to feel like a 'real' production now.

Put together the schedule breakdown for cast and crew last night -
(speaking of which, Drew did you recieve that? Let me know)

About to head out soon to pick up some last odds and ends - and see if I can't figure out a way to fashion some snoots for my soft lights.

Doing some last minute camera/lighting tests later today (once I pick up the lens package we'll be using).

At this point - I just pray the weather cooperates with us.
It's looking pretty nasty here today.
But if all goes well (which it rarely does) by Sunday night this thing will be in the can
(or on the drive, to be more accurate).

good luck luis. you're one of the funniest guys on dvxuser so i'm expecting a good showing here.

Luis,
Last week short sleeves this weekend, !?!?!?!?!? so much for the Texas winter factor huh? Good luck with your shooting. Hope you're indoors. We won't be.

I wish we were indoors as well.
Most of today is exteriors (including our shoot at midnight, which is technically tomorrow).

Alright, I'm off - if all goes well we'll have about 75% of this thing shot in less than 24 hours.
