"Love" a new short film by Ted Arabian

hahahaha!!!! Oh jeez.... I thought that I burned that photo!

Well... there is the man in black! So funny... that is the ONLY color I ever wear anymore! I am always in my blacks lately!

Thanks for stopping by and landing that picture on my thread, Demo!

When are we going to get together and shoot????

btw, I want you and Aram up here for my shoot. It is going to involve a pretty woman in lingerie!!!

Man, you have been busy. Glad you're entering. I'm anxious to see what you can pull of in that controlled environment. Sounds like you got some realy lighting skillz too. Good luck.

Thanks Marion! I appreciate you dropping by the thread.

I do love lighting. It has been fun trying to adapt my lighting skills from theatre to camera. Such a different world. The human eye and the camera see lighting in very different ways.

Good luck on your work as well. Looks like you have a few projects in the works.

Thanks Jack. I have been missing the place. It is really great to be back online.

I heard you tore up the last fest. Gotta check out your films.

Thanks for checking up on me. Good luck with your current project(s). I heard that you were working on that "other" NYC filmmaker's film. Hope it is going well.

ted, Ted, TEd, TED,

Way to go brother, getting it back from the politicos. Now I feel this festival will have the level of professionalism we have come to expect.

Wow, look what the cat dragged in...

Congrats on the gigs. Good to hear you're doing well, business-wise.

When are you going to make your way back out to Lala Land? :)

WIF, thank you for the welcome AND the very kind words. I really appreciate it!

Tom, dude, miss you man. I DO need to get back out to the left coast and visit my hombres! Maybe I can swing a visit soon!

And on top of all of this, I have accepted the position of Technical Director at Brewster Academy. During the Fall, I designed and installed an incredible set for a play called “Metamorphoses.” The set was a 16’x16’ pool of water on stage. It was only 18” deep but still a lot of water and weight! And the best part came when I started to do the lighting. WOW! I never had so much fun bouncing light off of water. It was really incredible. (I shot footage of the production and will share a clip soon.)

Metamorphoses was put on at our university last year! It was a phenomenal production and, yep, we had a big pool of water!! --> It was very very shallow but made a huge impact... you just dont see water on stage very often. cool cool cool -- would love to see how you lit it.

anyway, GREAT TO HAVE YOU BACK, TED MAN!!! Mark and I were talking about you when he came to stay and I was SO glad I was able to reach you so late on New Years Eve. It really made my year, man, and I can't say how great it was to hear from you!!

Best of luck in this fest, man. I'll be looking forward to your short!

Good to see you in this fest Ted. You've been a busy guy! Looking forward to your entry, good luck!

Thanks Jaime, I appreciate the welcome back! It feels great to be among my friends here again!

Kyle, thanks dude! I really do appreciate your calls. It was awesome to chat with you. And yes... it was a great year! I had a blast meeting so many dvxusers last year. It was incredible!

I am looking forward to more opportunities this year. I would love to work with you again!

Thanks again all for the kind words and welcoming! This place really is special.
