Output from FCP to camera then TV

I've got a setup in a studio which I'm editing HVX footage in an HD timeline, and I want to output the HD image to an HDTV thats set up.


Because I dont have a HD deck...Could I output through firewire from the computer into the camera then use the composite output on the camera to hook it into a HDTV?

I tried this but I'm not getting the image to output to the camera..and I have output All Frames check on. Is there a setting I have to go through to make this all run smoothly?

Nope, not in HD; the HVX can't pass an HD signal from its firewire input out to its component outputs.

You could do it with a P2 Gear, but not with the HVX itself.

Have any suggestions as to what I can do to output an HD image then?

...i'm gonna add that to the list of functions to put in the HVX200a

I just use a DVI to HDMI adapter to plug my MacBook Pro into my HDTV.
