Alrighty, so I've got a semi-rough edit of the film cut. I had a change in the music off the cuff today. My actress came and started playing the guitar, and sang a beautiful song that was perfect for the film, so it is now the score for the film... woo hoo!

It's really cool. I might post a sample of the song or something later if you guys are interested.

Yes, she does. Wait till you hear her singing voice. I've known Ronnie and Tori for 10 years. They are part of a small circle of friends that I've known longer than anyone else. We all went to a po' dunk university together and acted in plays, etc. together over the years.

Thanks.

Ok, so this is looking pretty good. I'm real happy so far for my first attempt with what I've got so far.

Also, I'm excited about having an original song from my actress. And, Herman is still going to score on top of that to help fill out the middle of the film, and he may do some sound design work for me as well. I'm totally jazzed to have this collaboration going on. Especially since I was the only crew when shooting the thing. Camera, sound, lights, etc, etc.

I've gotten wonderful feedback from a few folks on the script, and am excited to be collaborating with some folks.

You know what I think about your project, Jason. Congrats on getting so much done so early, too. You are an inspiration, man.

Ok... so, I'm going to try to get my people back together for a couple of hours one day soon, and re-shoot the ending fo my film to give it it's original intended ending (slightly modified) instead of completely eliminating the ending as I have right now due to issues with teh filming and timing of the original ending...

I got some feedback from someone, and he made me realize that I have to give this thing it's proper and intended ending... So, I've got to try to get my actors back together for a couple of hours one day real soon and get that done. The real challenge will be getting them both at the same time again. But, I think the film will benefit from it, so I've got to do it.

Then, I can send off the revised version to Herman for sound design and score along with the original song by my actress.

Jason

By the way... I'm no expert on compression but I think I've gotten really good compression for this thing. 6 minutes. 960x540 rez. and 42 megs for my rough cut... It's not all effect heavy, so that probably helps keep the file size down some, but I'm very happy nonetheless.

I'd love to see some better compression on the films this time around, so if anyone would like me to share my settings I'd be glad to if it helps you out some.

This project rocks. You are an inspiration to all the little people here, Ramsey.
