It appears we are spiking off the charts of this post. We have 7 to 8 inch portable battery driven LCD monitors, then we go to computer monitors, and now TV's? Hopefully in the audio section a post about location headphones does not turn into the best pc speakers, then a 5.1 kenwood surround system.

So what's the best monitor to use with say the Brevis? QUOTE]
If youre talking the small LCD HD monitors then panasonic is the best. I hear theres a new Sony and a JVC coming out though - so if your thinking of top $ then you may want to wait.
The larger broadcast monitors for me are just a pain in the arse because of size and are more suited when I am editing. Also you have to be careful with using just large screen HD TVS, because they are NOT broadcast monitors. They often have X Y Z applied to enhance the image coming through and cannot be correctly calibrated.
Monitors serve three main purposes for me 1/ focus assist when I cant physically measure it. 2/ Color representation. 3/ contrast representation.
And on all three the small Panasonic pulled the other monitors I have used pants down and spanked them.
For a cheaper monitor I would look long and hard at Siniarchs, its using the Panasonic screen.
