2.55:1 - Yay or Nay?

I don't think that necessarily means you can only shoot in those aspec ratios, but they should at least be delivered in those dimensions. I could be wrong, but let's say if you wanted to shoot in 1.33, you would just have to deliver a pillarboxed version, in 16:9. So maybe you can deliver it in 2.35, with letterboxing. But don't take my word for it. Ask one of the mods.
 
yes, 2.55:1 is acceptable. The key is that we want a widescreen output. If you wish to crop wider than 16x9, you are welcome to do so.

Thanks for the answer. I think I will do 2.55:1. Don't try to guesstimate when cropping your LCD... Bad me. BAD.
