That's exactly what it is. Aiptek uses a 5-megapixel CMOS chip with a rolling shutter, so yes you're gonna get the wobbles...

I actually downloaded some footage from this cam
It was surprisingly good at 720p.
I wish there was a AVCHD camcorder from Canon or Panasonic that shoots 720p to a HDD.

I've had this camera for about a month now, and with very minimal wear and tear, some of its buttons have stopped functioning. Don't know if this is just mine or if this a common occurrence. I'm assuming it isn't, as I haven't seen complaints on other forums about problems like mine.
It's got great picture for the money, but sound quality is atrocious. If you do pick one up, make sure to upgrade the firmware to 1.4 or 1.5 (the links can be found on Steve's digicam forum). It improved the sound quality a lot, but still everything peaks with anything louder than normal speech.
