Slow-mo test: dvx/sgpro rev.2

You can flip the image in after effetcs, but I just didn find it, my first day in after effects :) The colorcorrection can be done as well, since its almost equal to photoshp corrector, but when i tried it maid some very grainy results, so I kinda stick to magic bullet in premiere.
Dont worry about asking questions, thats why I post :)

looks really good.

smiettli, (i'm a little new to the whole slowmo thing) so you shoot in 50i, then place the footage into a 24/25p timeline and the NLE will automatically make it slowmo by de-interlacing the frames? is that correct?

Basicly, yes. You shoot in 50i with a shutter speed at minimum 1/120, the import the clip into after effects with a 25fps composition, then you go into the "interpret footage" menu for the clip, choose comform to 25 fps. The add the clip to the composition and choose "time-stretch" from the layer menu, time-strecth to "200%". And make sure you set your composition's duration time to at least twice the time as the clip you are time-strecthing :)

Smettli, would you ever take an oppertunity to be a DP in the states if your plane ticket and room and board was payed for? say, a week tops shoot?

Thats quite the compliment! I would be a little scared though, cause as you might have noticed I almost always shoot with natural light. I don't really have any experience with lighting, at all. So if I were you, I wouldnt bet money on me. I would probably be more practical as a camera operator, not a DP. But thanks again for the really nice gesture!

hey Smettli, curious why you dont like artifical lighting? it aint hard to learn, shooting natural is harder

It's not that I don't like it, it's just that the 7 months I was in filmschool I studied screenwriting, and back here at home I don't have any lighting equipment to practice with. Though I will probably buy some lights when I can afford it, most of my money has gone to building my camera rig :)

Yo, Smettli, It's cool if you don't want a full out paid expense to come over here in the states for a week to do camera work. But seriously, I want you as my camera guy sometime. Like no questions asked, I don't care if I have to hold you up at gunpoint (joking) just to get you to do our camera work. Oh, and natural light is fine by the way. I was trying to get 10 grand for the short we are currently working on, that's why I wantd you to come over here and do the camera work. We're only in the scriptwriting stage but it's a pretty bizarre story.

Then keep me posted on the progress! Sounds like fun stuff, and I can also be held at gunpoint, it's the only way I work :)
