Inspiring.. makes me think a DVX100 will always be useful - never obsolete. Nice work.. love the lighting as well.

The Men Who Fell UPDATE

The Men Who Fell was presented at the Cannes Foreign Film Market (not the festival) by Lonely Seal Releasing agency, during which it sold to several small markets, including Italy and France. It will be shopped at the American Film Market later this year, as well as be entered into several genre festivals.

Congratulations on the sales!

I'm a nut for sci-fi and I love your site and the trailers. Very excited to see the final movie on DVD. (And hoping there's some awesome special features about the making of those models/mattes!)

wonderful idea, great images, great film, great production. An excellent thread, THANKS FOR POSTING !

= Awsome trailer. Superb look,pacing,editing,music,camerawork & acting.
As good as any $1m movie I've ever seen, certainly better (grungy) art design, and acting is so authentic. Most $1m movies are too slick, this is far more realistic.

You guys really know to put a trailer together....to create dramatic pacing and leave viewer with questions.

I had to look again today..at the trailer.....and still can't believe how fantastic this thing is.....in EVERY bloody respect.....costumes,sets, lighting, acting, makeup, music-sound design, camerawork......****, you guy deserve the free Panavision package awarded to exceptional talent.....

"November" had truly superb art design, cinematograophy, fine acting n' stuff ..... but you got My vote. With 2% of their budget.

This trailer ROCKED. Reminds me of some of the excercises we did in my editing class back at the Academy. When is this going to be released via DVD? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

There's so much talk about "Broken" and it's quality, but my opinion is that this surpass it on all points. Finally it seems that it's not all about technology, but also acting. I haven't seen vey much more then whats in the trailer, but it "feels" right and that goes a long way.

I'm not bashing all movies on dvx.com, but most of them have really bad acting, probably because more time goes into props, set design, photography etc. etc. What stunned me the most is that this movie have the quality of a big buck feature, with top notch props and all, but at the same time keeping the audience in the moment that this is really happening.
This is an example of the best we can do with the DVX. Imagine these guys with a RED ONE.

Who needs Hollywood?

Exactly. When I see quality work like this, I'm nothing but inspired. Great job to the team who pulled this off.

I agree. These folks have proved themselves in the realm of filmmaking with this trailer alone. This is very polished. To an extent, it doesn't matter what they shot on. The set design, costumes, framing, composition, etc were all professional quality and that is definitely what grabs the viewer's attention.

I also agree... who needs Hollywood?

When is this coming out!? It blew my freaking mind! I had given up on movie making, but this totally restored my faith in the capabilities of ultra-low budget dv, totally!
