Can the HVX play from a FW disk to a monitor?

Is this a solution to avoid Firestores or Laptops near you camera?
Do you think that this will work?

1) copy the P2 content to a FW Hard Disk connected to the HVX200
2) connect a monitor to the HVX200 video output
2) from the HVX200 play the data from the Hard Disk and watch the Hard Disk content on the monitor

You can do what you want with a laptop, but not by the camera itself.

I'm a brand new HVX 200 & Firestore user and attempting to play back HD footage from the Firestore through the camera and out to an HD monitor via the component cable. Can't get the monitor to see anything. Is this thr right setup? Thanks.

Just realized that Someday was asking not ... providing a solution. So are there any options for checking your HD source footage on a HD monitor?
