Now it's like christmas again. I just received my letter and Barry's book about two weeks ago. Should be any day now....

I too would like to buy a 16 gig brother as well.

wow this really excites me! i can't take much more waiting 3 months with my camera and still no hd. so is anyone else out their getting theirs? when did you send in your rebate wlpeak, i'm just curious when to expect mine
 
I just got my 16GB rebate card and am stoked! This came just in time and is saving our nano-budget project. Thanks to Jan Crittenden for all she endured through this rebate process. I, for one, am very pleased with the way Panasonic handled their commitment.

If you read this thank you! The only reason I bought my HVX was because of the rebate. I own a car dealership and my sales people are useing it to do video presentations of cars over the internet for online sales. It's all mini dv format but we have been waiting for the P2 to make editing easier.

I'd also like to thank 'Sir' Barry for not deleting 90% of the hate threads from upset Panasonic buyers and keeping it real. I think everyone is very happy, Panasonic went above thier agreement and didn't have to.

The HVX I bought is no doubt overkill for what we use it for but since my sales people now know the camera well we will be buying one or two more in the next few months (if I can find them) while using only 1 16 gig P2 card.

Thanks again to both Jan & Barry G. who have really been put in a place they didn't deserve!

I forgot to tell you that the hxv is a big hit at my car dealership, all my employes take the HVX home on the weekends to shoot family videos, they have no idea what they are doing but for some reason when my fat sales manager is drinking beer from a keg (not on my time) on his weekend family parties they look like that movie Frathouse or Meatballs. I don't understand it... They do not know what they are doing with the camera but the footage always turns out looking like a real movie.

Since the posts here aren't piling up with joyous huzzahs from happy rebate recipients, looks like the P2 cards will be dribbling out in small amounts over a long period of time. Sigh.
 
I've had a 16 Gb card for about two weeks on a pre order.

Let me tell you that when 42 minutes of 720/24pn shows up, it makes you smile.

I received my 16gig P2 card today and yes I had a smile when I saw 42mins @720/24pn.

I bought my camera on March 6, 2007 and sent in all my info around March 7th or 8th.
 
I got mine yesterday, sent my rebate info in around the end of feb. Adding this to the 8gig I already have and I feel like I can shoot forever now! :2vrolijk_08:

Bought my camera March 6th, paperwprk was in by March 9th... Love my 16 gig card!

I think the few people that have gotten them are like me shooting anything and everything for the next few days and forgot about the board because we are so excited...

If you guys want to see HI Def footage of dogs crapping in my yard I have it. How about squirels? A riding mower with a camera monted on front to shoot overcranked 60 frames for 24pn to watch the bugs fly up in slow mo?

I'm really busy having fun right now. Waited 3+ months!
