"Sleeper" by Matt Sconce and Mark Aro

UPDATE: Our final ADR session is today! We have the video in the correct format so everything should run smoothly. It is nice hearing Mike sync the audio immediately after the actors say the lines so we know it worked. I am excited and will let you know how it goes!

Well I saw that Spies Girls cut out the bikini scene... we cut out ours too. Sorry Shane, I know that you really liked the way you looked in the poka-dots, but we just had to lose that scene for many reasons. Maybe next time!

:zombie_smiley:

UPDATE: Mark and I dropped of the most recent working copy of Sleeper for Mike to start creating sound effects for at "Arodynamix" Studios. We will go in there later today to finish ADR.

We also began creating our VFX list. WOW it will be huge! Exciting stuff! This is o fun!

SLEEP...? SLEEP...? We don't need no STINKING SLEEP!

Thanks! We hope it will make it awesome.

UPDATE: We tried to get the ADR session done tonight but we were only able to get through Paige's lines. We will be attempting to finish Shane's lines This coming wednesday at lunch. We will see.:) It is tricky business, but invaluable. I am so glad Mike Aro knows what he is doing because Mark and I are definitely not Audio Gurus!:crybaby:

Props to Paige as she did amazing tonight. By the way...did I mention I am excited!:)

Are you dubbing all lines? I think I'll have to dub a large majority on TCD.

YES we are! All of our outside night shots had generator noise in the BG, so that is a given, but we are doing everything in ADR, even the stuff that was shot indoors. It makes for much cleaner audio and we have a rockin audio engineer so we want to use his skills to the fullest.

Yes indeed! If you can get your hands on an awesome Audio Engineer and have the confidence in your actors that they can act in an audio booth, then this is the way to go! We are getting very professional clean audio. Just as in shooting a flat lit plate and being able to tweak it in post. Perfect clean audio will let us have all our options available.:)

OOOOO I see Color Grade tests....OOOO I love :)

Alas, they are only tests. They can not match your skills of course... you being the GRAND POOBAA of Color Correction (Seriously), but I try nonetheless. When we are done with the edit once we officially get into pre-pro, I will do one of these for each scene so our colorist (hopefully you) can do our color correction, but of course you probably already know all of that since you are the one (I believe) that taught it to me!

Hope you are having a nice trip down south! Talk to you when you get back. BTW... The software that I bought, PFHOE PRO... is pretty stinking cool. Not as beefy as the Bijou or Matchmover, but it does rock and it is super fast.

Whew! ADR sessions were finished up today. We got some great stuff! We are all really tired though. Next comes synching the cut for our composer, Chance Thomas, and further adventures in VFX.

Here is some BTS from Paige's last ADR Session. Additional Dialogue Recording is awesome.

UPDATE: We sent the semi locked cut today to our oscar winning composer, Chance Thomas! For those of you who do not know who he is, check him out here:

I am so excited about what he brings to the project!!!!!!!!! Mark is neck deep in VFX. We have a LOT of work cut out for us!

Matt - it looks like you guys will be able to be finished in time. Are you thinking of putting this out at film festivals, longer version?

the short answer is YES!

We are looking at a final cut of 8+ minutes for the longer version, but right now we are just focused on the DVXUSER cut.
