Mobile Hard Drive to connect to MB or MB Pro

The Panasonic P2 HD will store most of the content, and I'll use the MB's internal hard drive to store the overflow content, but just to add another safety net, I'd like to purchase an 80-100gb hard drive.

I like those Lacie brick drives, but it looks like the mobile drives only operate at 5400rpm. Is there a 7200rpm mobile HD solution? Or am I splitting hairs over the drive speed?

I got a 120GB WD Passport drive...got it at Amazon for $80. Not the best, not the worst.
What would you recommend? What's good and what's bad about that drive?

I've got the Lacie Little Big and it works like a charm. It is fast and really smal, I can really recomment it!

I have had problems with my lacie porshe design 500gb usb drive......sometimes it takes 5 minutes to be detected by my macbook.sometimes it says the drive is corrupt. I will never buy a lacie again. A friends of mine doing data recovery has seen this drive many times before. Maybe other lacie are good. I think maybe they make it look good but put whatever is cheaper for a drive inside...
I think its always safer to buy the case and drive seperatly that way you can choose a reliable drive.
What i do is i ask what case is available at my local store, google to find wich has many favorable reviews and get that one.

For the hard drive seagate has proven to be the most reliable for me.(not one drive failure yet but have had quiet a few maxtor and wd die on me!)

Good luck!
