HVX and firestore - where's the slo mo?

I have FS-100 v.3 - I've shot lots of test footage with different settings of the HVX200 and with FS100, my problem or confusion is when I import the footage into Final Cut. The frames are 60 per second and there is no fast or slow motion.
Here's samples of what I'm getting:

FS100 setting..........Cam res.............Cam fps..........FinalCutPro frames/sec
P2............................720/24p.............24...................60
..........................................................12...................60

P2N..........................720/24p.............24....................24
...........................................................30...................30
...........................................................12....................60
...........................................................48....................60

QTPN.........................720/24p.............24.....................30
...........................................................30.....................30
...........................................................12.....................60
...........................................................48......................60

I wont bore you with more numbers, but:
1. why is anything under 24fps or over 30fps coming into FCP at 60 frames?
2. How do i get the fast or slow motion?
3. Also, which FS100 setting is best P2N or QTPN? Are there any difference in size of files, any difference in quality, are they true progressive?

Any info would be appreciated. I'm shooting a documentary all summer and would like to shoot everything under the same settings.

You need to use the frame rate converter to achieve this
Where is this frame converter and do you have to use it when you shoot in 720p/24pn?

Ok, but where is the frame rate converter and how do I use it? thank you.

It's a plug-in application for FCP which you can download from the panasonic website. It remaps the FPS setting for a clip that was shot in VFR. The instruction to use it is on the same page where you download.

WHAT I want to know - Is there a similar workflow for Sony Vegas?

I'm having the same problem, shoot with p2 card@ 720/p 24. then in hvx set frame rate to 48 to get slo mo .imported into fcp shows up 59.93 . from reading the hvx help menu it say's it will always show up that way because thats how firewire has to import it. so i download the frame rate converter which is supposed to let you change frame rate's inside fcp .well every time I go to tools to use it ,it say's the footage is not dvcpro hd , I look on the clip bin it say's dvcpro hd, then i go to the plug in folder to mkae shure its there ,it is i click on it and it opens dvd studio pro? whf ,all i want to do is some slo mo that isn't jerkey and the same lenght as what I shot ,any idea's as how to fix this rambleing query!
