hahaha.....patience my young Padawan. Dark is the path and long is the way that leads to unrevealing Grabs.... Soon, all will be made clear....

Yes, master, I understand....sorry to have pressed, master.

We'll have something up today!
I knew I could count on you, Chancellor. I will follow you now, new master...and I will kill all the Jedi that I swore to protect just moments ago. Though I've known them longer, you offer what I desire, so you must be the better one to follow!

Cool deal guys...hopefully you are recovering some of your missed sleep. Looking forward to continuing to follow this project and to see the final film.

Matt - glad to hear you're okay. Would have been awful if you had fallen, especially if you had fallen on a camera! no really, good to hear coffee perked you up. I thought about you the other day when I was watching fight scenes. Barlow and I are going to try to choregraph a scene and you know what, it sure would help to know some kung-fu chop-suyie.

As requested.... snippets of our shoot. keep watching.... more shots and BTS photos to come!

Thanks! Yeah that and a great crew, did the trick! However there was a dark period on Friday and an even darker one on Saturday that made it appear as though we wouldn't make it through the shoot. We put our actress through hell and at one point I thought that we had lost her, but to her credit, she pulled through with flying colors and ROCKED!!!!!

Paige... How do you eat and elephant! One bite at a time!

Hey guys, the screengrabs look COOL. Were you going stock HVX lens on these?
Thanks! We were indeed going stock HVX. We had to, due to the water pouring upon us. I had the water housing for the HVX but not the M2 adapter setup. I didn't want to risk it. Thanks for commenting on the screen grabs!

BTS - Photos

BTS - Photos

As mentioned. Here's a few BTS photos from our first weekend of shooting on SLEEPER.

Enjoy!

Wow...the thread is really dead today. I hope it is because people are out there in Production Land!:2vrolijk_08:

Mark and I are preparing and planning for this upcoming weekend of shooting. We should have all of our coverage after that and then it is on to ADR, Foley, Getting a cut to Chance Thomas, and Visual Postproduction.

Very nice BTS  what is the "stabilizer device" you're using in that shot Matt?
Thanks Brandon! It is my little home built steadicam stabilizer-majiggy. It works very well. :D

Pretty cool. Looks nifty. Thanks to you guys for sharing this stuff with us... this is one of my fave spyfest threads.

And now for a shameless plug, be sure to check over in the User Films section this week and weekend as I get ready to shoot a pilot episode.

You mean there's more?!?!

I have to say that this is one of the best DVXfest threads I've seen in regards to all the BTS pics and stuff. A fine job!

Thanks! There is definitely more! Mark and I want to put together a comprehensive BTS as well for later. It should be fun!

I have to know...is there somewhere in this film where you use that cool move that I loved so much from STRICKEN?

You know, the one in the diner where the waitress walks up to the table and you "fly" the camera toward her back, then she turns and you circle around her and then follow her back to the counter?

Man, that was such a slick move and looked so cool in the film... I just loved it. In fact, I intend to write a specific scene into a script so when you come DP for me you can use that maneuver
