Envision & RebeccaD Present "Where Silence Falls"

:2vrolijk_08: WOW!!! :2vrolijk_08: Thank you everyone! I'm beyond excited ... already texted Rebecca to give her the news, since she appears to be offline for the night.

While I wish I could take the credit, I can't. Again, since I like my filmmaking to be such a community effort, it's the entire team that made this what it is, from having Rebecca L. Dunn as an awesome filmmaking partner (development, synergy, etc.), to Justin R. Durban's incredible score, to Dan Ayers as DP and Ryan Walters assisting with his own HVX, to the wonderful Stefan Scherperel working as 1st AD, James Eubank our Set Designer, Steve Waters our Gaffer, Forrest Burger who bailed us out as our editor, Shawn Nelson getting us good sound with Jerry Turner assisting on Boom, to Alison Binford our Hair & Makeup Artist, to Reid Phillips for giving it his all in his performance, and even to Robin Steigmann for keeping us happy with full tummies!

So, to all of you who helped me make OUR film, "Where Silence Falls", and to all of you who voted for it as your favorite film in the DVXuser DramaFest, and to all of you who took the time to comment in our thread with praises and/or critiques of things to improve on in the future .... THANK YOU!!! :love4: :dankk2:

I just looked at the prizes again, dang Norm, you've now got an HD monitor, handheld rig and controller. Sounds like some good things to use on Trinity River!

WOW I am so pleased you got second. (P.S. I voted for you but not sure my vote got in). Congratulations.

Yep, Shawn, now I'll just have to figure out how to use it all, lol. Besides, with Dan Ayers as DP on TRINITY RIVER, I'm thinking we'll still likely use his Steadicam set up, lol. That said, there will be some KILLER BTS material with this.

Thanks, ncje, I kind of thought you might have ... that's why I was SO stressed when I saw your post that you had missed out, lol!

Thank you also, Tim, for the support & love.

Shoulder mount gives you a very different look from Steadicam, even on Hollywood shoots, where they could easily afford 100% steadicam you'll still see a lot of shoulder mount. Plus, a shoulder mount can get into spots a steadicam can't. So I'd imagine both would be great tools to have in the box.

I'd love to hear now what your plans are for Trinity River. Btw, I have a micro short that I will shoot in May or June on my Red, and I want you to star in it. (Here's hoping you say yes...)

NO, congrats to you, my friend ... but thank you all the same! You really did a good thing with HERITAGE. Look forward to seeing your SpyFest entry topping what you just did (you know, always have to push that bar higher or it's just not worth it, right?)!

Shawn good points on the use of the shoulder mount. That'll be really interesting to see how we can use it. As far as a Micro-Short, how short is that? I thought THESE films were micro-shorts, lol. And I'm flattered you'd ask ... yeah, let's talk.

Shoulder mounts are terrific... used almost exclusivly on my last film.
