New Music Video!!!!!!

Noah. Nice site. great vid. Are those blue light flares an after market AE plugin, or is it something available already in AE. I just got AE and am trying to learn it. (Also, same question about the film effects, etc. - after market plugin?) Thnx
 
Noah, I was wondering the vids that u've had go to air, How did u submit them to the stations? Obviously u shot mini DV then what? can u take me through the process? Thanks heaps! :thumbup:
 
I've had 3 videos go to major networks worlwide. This is soley based on the fact that they are backed by a legitimate record label. Labels for the most part hire video promotion companies who know the ins and outs of every major and local network. Everything it politics and $$ driven. Networks like MTV have mandatory standards for formats. It has to be digibeta with closed captioning (this can run up to $500 per dub!). That's pretty much it...it's a matter of finding the right act that has a nice backing.

The vid has been playing in MTV Europe consistently...But I got word the other day that the video that has reached as far as Africa and Lebenon airing on MTV. Thats insane!

ill keep my eyes open for it on MTV here but havent seen yet (south Africa) I think I remember u posting a preview? it influenced me with the light streaks i saw in the preview, tried it on my own bands video (image grabs below)

u used trapcode? i think ill look into purchasing that, i used a standard AE plug with a few colour tweaks and blurrs to get this. must say the trapcode looks far better. How did u go about it tracking etc..., did u feather-mask the band members when they moved infront of the light? thanks for being so informative to everyone so far! great thread.

I didn't do any masking or roto'ing at all...I just key framed the STARGLOW opacity so it sort of faded in and out where i wanted. It was based off of brightness so the most light was coming from behind the band (since the backwall was lit up)...Anyone trying to see the video again please go to my website as the link is dead now (from web host changes) NOAHSHULMAN.COM and click on BETZEFER "EARLY GRAVE" THanks brother!
 
For some reason I keep getting an error when I click on your link but I did check out your myspace. I saw some clips that were pretty dawn good.

Now I really want to checkout that link.
