Canon XH-A1 $3699 from bhphotovideo

At current USA vs. UK currency conversion that works out at about £1,878 - even with import taxes to be added it is very tempting (UK best price £2,300).
Can a further price drop be 'expected' anytime soon, as this USA pricing looks even cheaper than in Japan?
 
Dang. That's funny. I remember all the SPeculation about how the A1 wasn't going to come in under 4k for a while.

Sure would be nice of B&H to send those of us who pre-ordered it from them a nice rebate check for the difference.
 
Nice. This is Legitimate right guys? no gray market camera (non-Us serial code), no missing accessories? I wounder whats the reason for the price drop. Does the New sony V1u have anything to do with it?

B&H is listed as an authorized online retailer in canon's website. They won't sell a gray market version. You can see it by clicking here
 
There are better deals out there from authorized dealers that don't deal grey goods. I've heard of an XH-A1 going for $3,699 with a free Camrade Camera Bag-from an authorized dealer and sponsor of dvinfo.net & hdvinfo.net.
