Trailer. 25 min DVX horror short "Eddie Loves You"

hilarious trailer!

i watched the other trailers and shorts on the website and those were AMAZING! What all did you shoot everthing on? Paricularly the short 'special cases'.

GREAT WORK!

What all did you shoot those other shorts on your website with?

P.S. I been showing everybody at my college 'No presents for Paul' and it is just a masterpiece! Brilliant!

Hi Inoran!

Sorry i didnt reply to you earlier

all the stuff was shot on the DVX, no adaptor, jus ta bit of CC.

Glad you like some of the stuff. 'No Presents....' gets mixed reactions, but I like it...lol

thanks for the comments, i appreciate it very much.

inoran there is a 'no present for paul' thread on here somewhere. you can see how some of the composites were put together on it, if you're interested.

I'll be the dick on the thread and say I found it just immature and therefore I wouldn't watch it. You took a concept that could be funny for a few jokes and made it into a however long minute trailer, which is fine, but it dissuaded me from being even slightly interested.

Good editing

Psh...

Hi Jeremy.

Glad you liked it.

The film has already played at 'Shockerfest' In California. I dont know of any other horror festivals coming up that I could submit it to.

possibly a DVD, or maybe just a download from my web site.

Either that or I'll put in on a disc with a few other shorts.

there's a few legal issues I may have to consider...:-)

Hi Dog

Thanks for the support!

I didn't capture it back to my camera, just my editing card. My editing card has DV but also analogue inputs. So you can re-capture using Sh**ty composite if you like. So yes, going out of the composite port I recorded to VHS then re-captured into the composite port of the editing card. Twice is enough to give it a real awful look. However, I see no reason why you couldnt do that with your DVX too, it also has composite inputs/outputs.

After that, like I say it was just a quick levels adjustment in the editor (premiere) and a built-in old movie effect.

I only applied this to the trailer and not the whole film.
