They do exist to my disbelief. Of course it was Imported from Japan earlier this week.
Just FYI. I lost a case of beer bet because I didnt believe it. I was wrong.

Of course Im not sure if it was a Japanees production model or a demo model but it was in fact 16gig, there was only one and it was definately from Japan.
 
Eh,

A 16GB card still won't hold enough footage for me. Let me know when you see a 128GB.

How bout 1 hour?
 
(2) 16 GB cards would give you 80 mins of 720 at 24p. So that's more than an hour of straight recording, but I'm sure that's gonna be expensive.

Beat me to it, Gee-Off. (Sorry, Geoff. My friend of 20+ years has had to endure that from me since I've known him. :))

Yeah if you need that kind of mobility, it WILL cost you. But a new HVX with a (FREE) 8GB P2 + 16GB P2 gives him his hour. :)

....geez....give the guy a break. Why would he lie about something that he saw? It's not like he said he's got 50 of em for sale at rock bottom prices. Do you want a DNA sample next?

Well I just shot for 2 hours continuous with 4 8gb cards, dumping them to a laptop.
Let's see you do that with tape. It's not possible as you'd have to stop to change tape. I think the longest DVCPro HD tape is about 40 minutes.
 
We all know that they are in testing right now, we just dont know when they are being released. As for this one, all I can say is that it was very convincing. It is possible that it was a mock up but that just seems like a lot of work to do for a case of beer. I have a feeling by his guarded behavior that he wasnt suposed to have it (or talk about it), so who knows. Just thought Id pass on what I saw. I do believe it was probably a demo and Im guessing that the release, at least in Japan, is therefore just weeks away. (Before New Years)
I am going to feel real stupid if in fact I was dupped.
