Bad News from Canon

dabs.com in the UK has it listed for £1998 ex vat (2,978.03 euros), which is £2,348 (3,499.71 euros) including UK VAT of 17.5%
 
So right now I sit here waiting for the call. As of yesterday they were coming today. They said they will call as soon as it arrives.
 
Sorry guys just took a quick moment to post this, good news I have my camera. Bad news its sitting in the box and I have a fever of 103F. Been on a drip this morning. :S Hopefully I will be up and more able tomorrow.

According to tracking, my baby is on the truck 'out for delivery'. Given my usual place on her route, I'll have her early this afternoon!!!

I gotta plug TapeWorksTexas.com, they were awesome and got this camera to me really fast.

I also have an XL2 at my disposal so I'll try to set up some comparison shots!!!

I am so glad that the delay was about two days!! I have a whole week to play with it before I leave!
 
Im awake and ready to roll...stuff soon. Just had initial freakout with the standby / lock switch being on lock.. disables selections on the dial :S
 
Glad to hear, Ncje-San. We'll be eagerly waiting for some cool footage (with and without the M2). I was just reading the user's guide...it's like porn for camera aficionados :D

I did the same thing yesterday. The darn thing would not power on! I was freaking as I have a shoot today!

Then I saw the little standby/lock wheel had been turned to lock. I turned it to standby and it powered on! Serious Freak out!
 
That's funny, here I thought I'd be the only one to do that! NOOB!


Anyway, is anyone else's onboard mic screen loose from the handle. Doesn't come off, just wiggles quite a bit when pushed???


Be uploading footage soon...hope to test all the setttings.

Yes. Seems as though there is a little play in it.
